The Bryan Board of Public Affairs approves new rules for service disconnections from Bryan Municipal Utilities. Now, service disconnections for failure to pay bills may be temporarily suspended when the forecasted high temperature is less than 32 degrees…the forecasted low is less than 21…or the forecasted high is greater than 89 degrees. Also, BMU will provide power to customers who turn in a form completed and signed by a physician, showing they need power to run life-sustaining medical equipment. The debts won’t be forgiven. Payment arrangements will be made. The new rules go into effect next month.
