The jury trial of a former Oakwood woman, charged with directing her stepson to shoot and kill her husband 15 years ago, is scheduled for March in Defiance County. Judith Hawkey, 51, had been convicted by a jury in the same court in November 2013 of aggravated murder, The Third District Court of Appeals in Lima overturned the verdict in 2016, sending the case back to the trial court.
