Heads up…Bryan Municipal Utilities is asking its customers to reduce energy use today in order to keep those heating bills lower. With the frosty conditions, electricity demand is expected to be high over the next several days. During such high use periods, BMU can establish capacity and transmission peak demands that impact customers’ electric bill for the next year. So, they ask customers to voluntarily reduce energy during the peak hours, especially around dinner time and just after.
