After all the weather delays, work on the Clinton Street bridge replacement project is now set to officially begin today. The bridge over the Maumee River in Defiance, a main north-south route through the city, will be closed for nine months for a full replacement. The new bridge, when complete, will have four lanes, two in each direction…and it will be 40 feet longer than before.
