Crash On 24

An accident shuts down an area roadway. Both lanes of Baltimore Road in Defiance, near the Highway 24 exit ramp, were closed while crews cleared the scene of a semi crash. Witnesses told officers Steven Bean of Indianapolis, was eastbound on 24 and drove off the left side of the overpass. The trailer was carrying general freight. Bean was taken to ProMedica Defiance Regional. He was then flown to a Toledo Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition. Railroad traffic was stopped for about two hours. The crash remains under investigation.
