Teen Saved By Police

A sex trafficking victim is saved by area officers. Troopers from the Swanton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol make an arrest during a routine traffic stop on the Ohio Turnpike. They pulled over Juan Pedraza…a 15-year-old girl was in the car, too. Both were from Central America, so language was an issue during the traffic stop for failing to yield. When a translator came to the scene, troopers confirmed the juvenile had been sexually assaulted by Pedraza. The juvenile had been reported missing in Paterson, New Jersey. She was transported to a Toledo hospital for medical care. Pedraza was arrested, charged with felony abduction and taken to the Lucas County Jail.
