Bryan Says No To 6

Bryan’s City Council is publicly opposing Ohio House Bill 6. The panel voted against the legislation, which mainly deals with bailing out the state’s two nuclear power plants by way of a new charge to Ohioans’ electric bills. The plan would generate about $200 million annually through charges tacked onto monthly residential and business electricity bills in an effort to shore up the nuclear plants in Ottawa and Lake County. House Bill 6 passed in the Ohio House last week. It next heads to the Senate.
