Back to school time means hitting the books for students, but with the help of a looming state holiday of sorts, parents shouldn’t have to hit their own books as hard to pay for necessary materials. The now permanent summertime sales tax holiday in Ohio, held each year on the first weekend of August, will begin this Friday and run through Sunday. Numerous items for school children will be exempt from sales and use taxes. Clothes, school supplies and more are under the summertime tax holiday.
