Changes Made To Disaster Declaration

While not initially included as receiving disaster declaration for farmers from the United States Department of Agriculture, a second declaration was issued by the department, covering both Williams and Fulton counties. According to an estimate from the Williams County Farm Service Agency, 70 percent of corn acres in the county took the prevented planting route, along with 60-65 percent of soybean acres, both in light of heavy rainfalls seen throughout the fall and summer.
