A new judge is picked for the Phil Taylor trial…the Bryan man charged with animal cruelty. Reeve Kelsey, a retired judge in Wood County was chosen by the Ohio Supreme Court to hear the case. We reported Taylor is accused of using a 9mm pistol to shoot and kill four pet dogs at a County Road 13 residence, following a domestic incident. In late July, a new judge was required after Williams County judge, JT Stelzer recused himself from the case. Taylor’s final pretrial is set for Sept. 19.
