The unemployment rate in Fulton County was up slightly during the month of July, according to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. The rate increased to 4.2 percent from 3.9 percent in June. Fulton County’s unemployment rate in July 2018 was 5.0 percent. The labor force in the county increased by 200, to 22,600. Among the state’s 88 counties, preliminary July 2019 unemployment rates ranged from a low of 2.9 percent in Mercer County to a high of 7.5 percent in Monroe County.
