Driver Shot And Killed

A semi driver is shot and killed near Delphos, after a pursuit that began in Spencerville. The suspect, from Allen County, died at the scene. Officials say Spencerville Police tried to stop the semi as it was leaving the village, after a reported criminal complaint involving the driver. The suspect refused to stop. The chase went through Allen County and continued to U.S. 30 westbound, near Delphos. Pursuing officers determined the truck and its driver were an imminent threat to public safety of citizens and fire on the driver…who is hit…the semi eventually came to a complete stop near Feasby Wisener Road in Van Wert County. An investigation is underway.
