The City of Bryan gets a donation from Parkview Health for automated external defibrillators. About a dozen in all. An AED can deliver an electric shock to the heart in a cardiac event to re-establish a rhythm. In April, city officials expressed their desire to position the devices around the city’s parks in case of such medical incidents. The discussion was brought up after a Bryan High School student’s life was saved by an AED at the school.
