Unemployment rates fell slightly throughout the region in August. Williams County’s jobless rate went back down to 3.4 percent from 3.6 in July…still higher than June’s rate of 3.3 percent. Officials say the county’s unemployment numbers are some of the lowest in the state. An estimated 18,700 people in the county had jobs in August.
