Ohio Attorney, General Dave Yost says he recently became aware that his comments from a Sept. 30 press conference are being used in an HB6 television commercial. Yost says the use of those comments are not with his consent. HB6 supporters allege that the anti-referendum group, Ohioans for Energy Security, is paying off petitioners and trying to buy the signatures they’ve gathered. They say the Chinese are behind the referendum effort. The group seeks to prevent a referendum vote on HB6…it imposes electric bill surcharges on some Ohio consumers to give FirstEnergy Solutions $150 million per year to subsidize two nuclear power plants in northern Ohio.
