A West Unity area native and former Bryan and West Unity police officer remains in critical condition after he is injured in a shootout in Ozark, Alabama. Samuel Yoh, a Bryan police officer of 16 years, was shot several times responding to an incident involving a suicidal man. Officials tell reporters the suspect opened fire on Yoh as he arrived on scene. Other officers, along with Yoh, then shot and killed the gunman. Yoh is now in a Dothan, Alabama hospital. A fundraiser webpage has so far, raised over $12 thousand dollars for medical and family expenses.
