New Recall Information On The Way

Ohio’s Bureau of Motor Vehicles plans to begin a vehicle safety recall notification program, using the state’s vehicle registration renewal process. Vehicle safety recall information will be printed on registration renewal notices sent through the mail, beginning in January. An open recall will not interfere to renew vehicle registrations. BMV customers are advised to check their Vehicle Identification Numbers for open recalls by using the VIN look-up tool on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website.
