Fatal Accident In DKC

DeKalb County deputies are investigating a deadly off-road vehicle accident near the 2200 block of State Road 1. Officials tell reporters Michael Slentz of Butler was southbound, on the shoulder of the roadway. Slentz then tried to cross to the other side…into the path of a car. The car hits Slentz, ejecting him from his vehicle. He suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle wasn’t hurt. The investigation into the crash continues by both state and local officials.
