Williams County Fair Board members officially vote to continue the county fair…as normally as possible. Some changes, however, will need to be made in order to keep up to the state’s standards, amid COVID-19…leading off with a some modifications to grandstand seating capacity and social distancing requirements. State requirements currently allow grandstand events to happen but capacity is limited to half, with no more than 2,500 people. The grandstand at the Williams County Fairgrounds in Montpelier holds about 2,600. This year’s fair is set for Sept. 12-19.
