Ohio insurance consumers pay among the lowest average auto and homeowners insurance premiums in the country…that’s according to a recent analysis by the state Department of Insurance. Ohioans paid an average of $862, that’s ninth lowest, for homeowners insurance and $778 dollars for auto insurance (13th lowest). These are all 2017 numbers. Compare that to the national averages of $1,211 and $1,005, respectively…and that’s a tidy savings.
