The Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio’s biggest customer wanted to decrease its inmate bed allocation for the 2021 fiscal year but its smallest customer was adamantly opposed to it. At its board meeting, the Corrections Commission voted to decrease Lucas County’s bed allocation from 222 to 200, 11% less than its chartered funding agreement. The Defiance County bed allocation remained unchanged at 60. Williams County’s bed allocation is 55.
