For the fifth time since the pandemic reached the U.S., a pretrial hearing for a man accused of murdering a Montpelier woman has been rescheduled. Thomas Smith, 24, was scheduled for a pretrial conference Tuesday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court. It’s now pushed back to 9 a.m., Jan. 19th…coronavirus. Smith is accused of stabbing Danialle Swan several times outside a Toledo gas station back in Feb. Swan later died at a Toledo hospital. Investigators say Swan and Smith did not know each other prior to the attack. In March, he pled not guilty to murder.
