GOP Health Bill Moves Along

A small committee of legislators could overrule Governor, DeWine’s health orders…under a bill the state Senate passes…that marks the latest response by GOP lawmakers. The bill would create a committee…with the power to rescind executive actions taken by the state government or state health department. The latest draft of the bill was altered during a Senate committee on oversight…to reduce the number of lawmakers, making the final say on orders in the panel, from 10 to 6. Proponents of the bill believe DeWine’s orders during the last 11 months…damaged small businesses and the state’s economy.
