Wierman Faces Charges

A Maumee man is arrested after leading police on a multi-county chase through northwestern Ohio at speeds of more than 100 mph. Officers say 24-year-old Brandon Wierman drove away from a traffic stop in Delta. The police fan out…looking for him. Then in Wauseon…the police spots Wierman…they try to force him to pull over…they can’t. The chase continues from Fulton County into Williams County. In West Unity, an officer tries to stop Wierman with stop spikes, but he gets around those. Not a second time. The police set up more on County Road K at State Road 15 in Jefferson Township. This time…those tires go flat. Wierman gets out to run away…but is soon picked up by police. He suffers a minor injury and is checked out at the hospital…before getting booked into CCNO.
