Chase Called Off In WC

One Williams County sheriff’s deputy narrowly escapes injury while attempting to intercept a vehicle during a high-speed pursuit Sunday afternoon. The call from dispatch goes out…Defiance County law enforcement says be-on-the-lookout for a male suspect who is a threat to himself and others. The car is spotted on Ohio 107, near Montpelier, a few minutes later. One officer is in tow…another cruiser waits to cut off the chase. Instead…both officers decide to get out of the way…with speeds over 100 miles an hour…safety. In the end…the suspect gets away. Officers here say…they’ll be waiting for him…if he decides to come back and do it again.
