Unemployment rates were down in area counties during the month of September, according to data recently released by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. In Fulton County, the jobless rate fell to 4.2% in September. It was 4.7% in August and 5.5 a year ago. In Lucas County, unemployment fell to 5.8% from 6.4% in August. Ohio’s seasonally adjusted jobless rate was 5.4% in September, unchanged from August.
