Williams County had the highest number of COVID-19 cases per capita in Ohio this past week. There were 401 cases, or 1,093 cases per 100,000. Statewide…it’s 496 cases per 100,000…all this, according to state health officials. Here’s another number…the total COVID cases in the state of Ohio has nearly equaled the total number of cases in the entire country of Canada, with 1.6 million in Ohio…1.7 million for our neighbors to the north. Williams County’s fully vaccinated rate of 40% also continues to lag behind the state and national average.
