The number of COVID-19 cases both in the state of Ohio and Williams County have reached all-time highs, driven largely by the highly contagious omicron variant. The county reported 462 new cases for the one-week period of Jan. 11-18…with two hospitalizations and three deaths. The county has reported 8,127 cases and 135 deaths since the beginning of coronavirus. For a recent two-week period, the Ohio Department Health reports…the entire state is in the high incidence category…which is when a county has more than 100 cases per 100,000 residents over a two-week period.
