Collins Faces Charges

A man, accused of assaulting a doctor at the hospital in Bryan…is indicted on two counts of felonious assault. Ricki Collins, 61, is the accused in the Feb. 14 incident. Collins’ relative was being treated at the hospital emergency room when he launched an unprovoked attack on Dr. Hussein Kashk, prosecutors say. The doctor says he suffered facial fractures and a concussion in the incident. He has returned to work as an emergency room physician in town. He maintains that the attack was unprovoked.
