Fatal Crash On 6

Near Ridgeville Corners…a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 6 kills a Bryan woman. Officials tell reporters Jamie Nester, 26, was eastbound…when her car ran into the back of a tractor trailer driven by Michael White, of Spring Grove, Ill. He was stopped to make a southbound turn into a driveway. Most of the car was lodged beneath the semi’s trailer. They suspect she never hit the brakes on impact. Nester was pronounced dead at the scene. Both directions of U.S. 6 were closed down for about 45 minutes. State and local investigators continue their work in the case at this hour.
