Local officials and family members dedicate a tree to a Bryan High School graduate, who died serving his country. The tree was planted near others on the Bryan City Schools campus, along the winding drive between the high school and elementary, in honor of Private First Class Brandon Kreischer, a 2018 grad who was shot and killed by an Afghan soldier during an insider attack in Afghanistan. Among those present were Kreischer’s widow, Grace Kreischer, and their 2-year-old son, Callum. The tree could eventually grow to be 50-60 feet tall, officials say.
