The 2022 Vote…In Progress

More than three times as many people in Williams County are voting early in this primary than in the last mid-term election, in 2018. The ballot for the May 3 primary started the first week of April at the county elections office, on E. High St. Roughly 340 people have come in to put in their ballots. Another 222 mail-in ballots have been returned, along with four Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act ballots….it’s 477 in all…with 91 mail-in ballot applications still outstanding. Area officials are impressed! The election features a primary for both houses of Congress and governor, among others. Locally, the Republican primary also features a contested race for county commissioner and an uncontested race for treasurer.
