Many changes are coming to the Ohio Turnpike, including to the toll system that will allow for toll-free trips along certain routes. Adam Greenslade, director of governmental affairs, marketing and communications, gave an update to the Williams County Mayor’s Association during their monthly meeting in Holiday City. He said one of the big toll changes coming is open-road tolling, something many of the 15,000 respondents to a Turnpike survey said they wanted. The cash payment option will still be available. Another change will be the implementation of two non-tolled sections of the Turnpike for local users. On the west end of the Turnpike, that will include the Holiday City to Delta exits. On the east end, it would include exits 215-234.
