On The Roads

There will be no major projects in Williams County performed by the Ohio Department of Transportation this year, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t work happening. Officials from ODOT District 2 met with the Williams County commissioners to update them on what will be going on in the county. In August, crews will be making deck repairs to the bridge on Ohio 34, west of County Road 23-50…near the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. Officials say…traffic there will be maintained using temporary traffic signals. Upcoming paving and surfacing projects include…Ohio 576…from the Defiance line to County Road D…Ohio 34…Ohio 49, from Edon to the Michigan line…along with a list of others. In 2024, those projects include micro surfacing Ohio 49…at a total cost of $2 million dollars. A project for drainage near Paige Street in Bryan comes in at a cost of $400,000.
