Marijuana-related businesses in Hicksville a no-go.

Hicksville Village Council narrowly passed a no go against recreational marijuana-related businesses within the village during its regular meeting Monday. The ordinance prohibiting the establishment and operation of recreational marijuana cultivators, processors and retail dispensaries was approved with a tie-breaking vote by Mayor Mike Barth. This vote followed a third and final reading. Council’s action followed the passage by Ohio voters of a statewide issue last November that legalized the cultivation, sale and use of recreational marijuana with certain restrictions.
