Ohio Division of Wildlife releases total number of white-tail deer checked by hunters during deer gun hunting week.

The Ohio Division of Wildlife released the total number of white-tail deer checked by hunters during the 2025 deer gun hunting week on Tuesday, demonstrating a higher number total for the state than the recent three-year average. According to the division, 85,448 deer were harvested across the state this year, compared to the three-year average of 76,409, a total that encompasses harvests in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
