A four-vehicle collision on Defiance’s North Clinton Street at the U.S. 24 entry and exit ramps on Friday afternoon left five people hurt, one of them critically. A tractor trailer collided with the back of a pickup truck, causing a chain reaction collision amongst the vehicles. The tractor trailer was driven by 45 year old Candida Wright, of Springfield, Massachusetts, who was traveling westbound on the U.S. 24 exit ramp that evaluates North Clinton Street when her car collided with the back of a westbound pickup driven by 67 year old Michael Hoff, of Wauseon, according to the Defiance Police Department, which was in charge of the investigation.
