Local man sentenced to pay five people for defrauding property owners after promising to fix their homes.

In a civil complaint in Defiance County Common Pleas Court, a local man was sentenced to pay five people more than $100,000 for defrauding property owners after promising to fix their homes.  The Ohio Attorney General’s Office filed the lawsuit against Joseph Schlosser in September. At the time of the accusations, he was the owner of Building with Faith Construction, LLC and resided in Defiance.  In its case, the state requested $131,792 in damages for work that was either poorly done or not done at all.
