There will soon be a new home for the village of Paulding offices, along with two other village departments. Following a positive inspection report, the village council decided at a meeting on April 13th to pay $175,000 for the former Hartzog Lumber Co. property at 300 W. Jefferson St. This comes after the council voted on March 23 to make a purchase offer subject to the inspection report. Sometime after the first of the year, the offices located at the village hall on South Main Street including mayor, council, administrator, finance director, business office and zoning inspector will move to the new location. Once those offices move, the police department will return to the front of the building.
