There is a new president of the Defiance Area Chamber of Commerce. He’s Darrell Handy, who said that he hopes his professional experience and working relationships within the community will be an asset as the next chamber president. Handy replaces Isaac Lee, who left in March, to become vice president of membership for the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce. Handy comes with a good pedigree… he has an associate’s degree in business administration from Northwest State Community College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Defiance College. He works at Titan Tire in Bryan, but he plans to retire from there in June after 42 years. Handy has been involved in various community service events, and had been a Defiance City councilman for several terms. He and his wife live in Defiance.
