A woman who volunteered countless hours to the Humane Society and was on the board of directors has bequeathed $1.3 million dollars to the Bryan Area Foundation. The money will go to the Williams County Humane Scoeithy, the Public Library’s genealogy department, and finally create a music scholarship for a graduating Bryan senior majoring in music. The late Eleanor Bayes died in January this year.
