Human skeletal remains may be 1,000 years old

Just 30 miles north of Bryan, human skeletal remains were discovered near U.S. 127 in Hillsdale County Michigan. They were found on property where construction crews were digging in a pile of stone on 127, between Fayette and Hudson.

Police brought in anthropologists from Michigan State University. They determined that the remains were that of a human from hundreds of years ago. They said the bones may be close to 1,000 years old, and that of a Native American male. The area is no longer considered a crime scene.
