Defiance Co. engineer to receive top award

The state’s top county engi­neer is from right here, in Defi­ance County. War­ren Schlat­ter will receive the County Engi­neer of Year award from the County Engi­neers Asso­ci­a­tion of Ohio next week at a two-day con­fer­ence. The engi­neer is an elected posi­tion, which Schlat­ter was first voted for in 2004, and has won re-election twice after that.
