Dewine makes peace officer training more uniform

Ohio Attor­ney Gen­eral Mike Dewine announced new require­ments for all appli­cants to Ohio peace offi­cer basic train­ing acad­e­mies. North­west State Com­mu­nity Col­lege in Arch­bold is one of many in Ohio. Dewine said the new rules pro­vide uni­for­mity, includ­ing all must pass a drug screen before admis­sion, a psy­cho­log­i­cal exam, a poly­graph and phys­i­cal fit­ness assessment.
