A former St. Paul Lutheran School teacher enters pleas in sexual battery case

A former St. Paul Lutheran School teacher facing 13 counts of sex with minors pleaded guilty to nine of them Tuesday in Henry County Common Pleas Court. 29 year old Brian Kressbach of Napoleon, pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual battery and five counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. In return for the guilty plea, three additional counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and one count of gross sexual imposition will be dismissed at sentencing, set for June 27 at 1:30 p.m. Henry County Common Pleas Court Judge John Collier informed Kressbach at Tuesday’s hearing that each count carries a sentence of one to five years. If sentenced to serve more than 10 years, Kressbach will not be eligible for early release until 10 years have passed. Additionally, he will be required to register as a sex offender every 90 days for the rest of his life. Kressbach’s trial was slated to begin May 30.
