A Friendly Reminder From BMU

With some hot days approaching, Bryan’s electric power could be taxed. With that said, BMU officials tell customers you can set your air conditioner low without worrying about higher electric bills, at least on Saturday anyways. Power supply cost is based on how much electricity the community uses during peak demand periods, usually 2 to 6 p.m. on hot and humid days when air conditioner use is heaviest. Bryan Municipal Utilities is asking customers to turn off unnecessary lights, draw window blinds and set thermostats to 78 degrees on Friday and Monday…but not over the weekend.
