Angola man, 19, headed to prison for BB gun robbery

A 19-year-old rural Angola man will serve prison time after he admit­ted to try­ing to rob the Marathon gas sta­tion on West Maumee last Feb­ru­ary. Police said James Michael Moore used a BB gun that looked like a real hand gun dur­ing the rob­bery. The clerk showed Moore a knife and refused to hand over money. Moore was arrested less than two weeks later. He agreed to the plea bar­gain in Sep­tem­ber, and a pros­e­cu­tors dis­missed five counts of theft and a sex­ual bat­tery case. After prison, Moore will be on pro­ba­tion for six years.
