Bryan City Council chooses a long-time educator to fill the Ward 4 seat.

The Bryan City Council, following an executive session, chooses a long-time educator to fill the Ward 4 seat, beginning next year. Steven Alspaugh has been at Bryan High School since 2005, and has been principal since 2008. The seat is currently occupied since 2016. The Williams County Board of Elections determined this year there wasn’t enough valid signatures on a petition to be on the ballot and threw it out. The council interviewed five total candidates for the Ward 4 seat. The term will begin Jan. 1 and it will last two years.
