CCNO putting more resources into inmate mental health.

The Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO) is putting more resources into inmate mental health since more inmates are now requiring that sort of help. According to the Bryan Times, “Our new mental health provider is fully staffed better than we’ve ever been, in my opinion,” CCNO executive Director Dennis Sullivan said recently.“ They’ve been trained and now we’re going to start working toward our mental health unit,” he said. CCNO board member Peter Gerken, Lucas County commissioner, pointed out the most recent medication report shown to the board indicates 52% of inmates are prescribed psychotropic medications.
