Chase Ends In Arrest

Two minors are taken into custody…after a police pursuit that starts in DeKalb…and ends in Allen County, late Friday. Officials tell reporters…an off-duty sheriff’s deputy was southbound on I-69…when he tried to pull over someone for a minor traffic violation. The driver refused to stop…and instead tries to escape the officer at speeds over 100 mph. The chase then gets off the highway at the Union Chapel Road exit. That’s where the suspect then crashes into the roundabout curbs…coming to a stop on the southwest side of the road. The 14-year-old driver…as well as one 16-year-old passenger…run from the crash scene. Soon after, a DeKalb County police dog tracks down the two teenage boys, near Auburn Road.
